Please tell me about your S&W 442?

ImDrRich,I've carried mine since 1995 when I went into dicks.Other than a firing pin breaking the gun has been perfect. It looks like a 30 year old revolver patina wise and I put some Herrett shooting aces on it but my 442 has been and still is a very trusted companion both on the job and now in civilian life.It still works perfectly for me in my edc rotation, in fact I'm carrying it as I write this reply.

Thank you for your Reply, Sir. I purchased a 442 "Pro Series" yesterday. Should have it in about a week.

I purchased a Performance Center "Pro Series" 442 Moon Clip variant back in 2015. As we all know, new purchases are often not always illustrations of what Glock calls "Perfection".

My "Edsel" model 442 would not cycle properly out of the box. Long ratchets.

No "Pro Series" laser etching on the frame. (It turns out it's not a Performance Center Pro Series at all.....but an imposter. Just a plain old 442 snatched from the assembly line.

Canted barrel at no extra charge....shoots 2-3" left at 7 yards.

It went back home twice. I ended up repairing the long ratchets myself. The barrel is still canted.

As always, YMMV.

Funny tho, even with all this cold water, I still fire/carry the gun on occasion , so much so that the finish is worn completely off in some areas.

My Edsel house gun that "shoots around corners". :D

Still one of my favorites. I carry it most days.
