A friend has one ordered, and his father has one. Great idea, but the QC is poor and they've had nothing but trouble with it. My LGS won't carry them because of reliability issues. Too bad, I was real interested in one.

Your local gunstore wont carry them because they arent in full production yet. Keltec recalled them because they were having a KEYHOLE issue, not a reliability issue. THey are being sent out in very small clusters because they had to change the manufacturing process. All of the info is on Keltec's website as they actually keep their customers informed on problems with their firearms. Good luck getting one or finding one.

How did your friend and his father come across the gun? if it isnt the new model with the new barrel rifling then they need to follow the recall.

Mine works great with all kinds of ammo. My buddy called to order one and was told it would be a two year wait. Mine was $325 out the door, have been offered $500. If supply ever catches up with demand the price will drop.

I shot one of the early production PMR30s that a friend brought to my local range. I could not believe the light weight, accuracy, 30 round capacity and flawless performance. I have been a .22 magnum fan ever since I bought one of the original .22 magnum AMT Automags. That gun was the opposite of the PMR30 and never worked right. I was so impressed with the PMR30 that I bought one for $75 over list price. This is only the third time that I have paid more than list price for a gun. I have now put more than 700 rounds thru my PMR30 without a single problem. I have used 6 different brands of .22 magnum ammo and all of them have worked fine. My son tried my PMR30 and was so impressed that he paid $125 over list to get his gun as soon as possible. The below Youtube video shows me shooting the PMR30.

$299???? Grab one if you can. They are being jacked up in price to $500 in some places.

They had problems with the barrels giving poor accuracy. KT has very good customer service, made right across from me. They will make it right if it isn't.

They few my LGS has received went out before he could put them on the shelf. No complaints (I know the guys that bought them).

Other than a "cool factor" I do not see a purpose for them but hey you could just get a FN 5.7:D

30 rounds of 22WMR and you see no use for it? I would make that a dedicated squirrel/woods/trail gun. thats a lot of firepower in a very light weight accurate gun.

They ordered them through their gun store. They mentioned the keyholing issue, but they couldn't get a full mag to go through the gun without several jams. Glad to hear there is a recall, and I hope they are working out the issue because I think they are a great idea.

My gun store had a few come through and they were returned to them for the issues stated. The owner said he won't bring them back in, he won't sell anything that is not reliable and won't sell what he considers poor quality guns. I don't blame him.

I guess if you have that many hard to kill squirrels on steroids;)
Regular 22 LR seems to kill them fine.

Squirrels aren't the only squirrelly things in the woods, even on the trail. While I have managed to survive with a .38 revolver and speedloaders, I can certainly see the attraction of a 30-shot WMR pistol over any .22LR firearm.

Well put it this way. We all know how successful the Grendel P30 was.

The designer also designed the KT PMR 30.

We all know the track record of Quality Control of Kel Tec Firearms. They have already had to replace the barrels.

So all that "firepower" is great if it functions. I would wait a long while to see how well the gun works in the real world.

KT does have excellent customer service.

Spend your money wisely.

KT's "Are like a box of chocolates. you never know what you are gonna get";)

i overheard a customer asking about them at my LGS which didnt have them and had no idea where to get them. i butted in and told the guy where he could order one for 299 plus ffl andshipping. the guy behind the counter couldnt have been too happy, but all he said was "that sounds about right" lol

I know a guy that has one and he was told by KT customer service, to avoid jamming problems, use only US made ammo. He likes his. No I have not shot it yet.

i definately will eventually have one.

im still in trouble with the wife about the last two guns i bought lol

Great Price

I'd like ten at that price. The cheapest I've seen them sell for is the $550 range online. Some of the clowns are asking $700!

$299 is a great price. About twenty bucks over cost.

That's the price they were listed for but I just called to verify and they told me they had no more of them.

never tried to kill a coyote or bobcat with 22lr though and not sure id want to. i am in some bad coyote country and regularly run into them during squirrel season or trail riding.
