Polishing Apex trigger parts..... Good idea or not.

A few days back I installed the aluminum FSS and trigger kit with the competition spring kit in my M&P9 and I really like how it turned out. I am thinking about polishing the trigger parts to see if it can become even smoother than what it is now. I have only 400 rounds through it with the new parts so I have not "broken" the parts in yet. But have anyone ever polished Apex trigger parts?

Lookup Burwell Trigger and they have a set of directions of what to polish. When done it will feel about like you put an Apex kit in it.

There shouldn't be any need to polish Apex parts.

You typically polish the trigger to get rid of the grittiness from contact with the striker block. The FSS comes with the USB which is already rounded and polished so there should not be any grittiness and the break should be very clean with the new sear.

I'd recommend leaving the APEX parts alone. The reason those parts get installed is because they have a smoother fit and finish to start with. Polishing the original parts would be a better solution with less expense.

I guess I think differently than all of the other posters so far. I polished my parts some before installing them to ensure everything was as smooth as possible, not anything more than a good buffing but I did polish them. Everything works great and I'm really happy with it but I cannot say for sure if it did any good since I did not try it before polishing. At the end of the day it can only help to buff them it surely cannot hurt.
