POLL: Are the bikes tacky?

POLL: be honest, are the motorcycles tacky?
I'm about to finish up this project in my new den, I built everything myself, but took a short cut and ordered the doors (that you don't see on the bottom cabinets) instead of building myself and they just came in.
Still need to install the LED lighting in the shelves then it'll be all wrapped up.
The biggest PITA was the rolling library ladder, believe it or not.
The ladder is an antique and was solid green, around 12' long when I bought it, but it had the "beat-up" character I was looking for so I stripped it and re-did the finish like you see it here, black with natural wood showing through. Turned out nice I think.
The furniture/décor will be "cigar lounge" type, (no smoking though) with 4 nice leather club chairs and some tables, etc.
I already have a 65" 4K flat screen to go on the wall to the right. Black-out drapes will be covering the windows also.
I'm standing in a large walk-in closet to take the picture, but it will soon be converted into a walk-in humidor with a glass door. This rooms' about twice as large as you see here.
The wife's not too thrilled about my new found hobby, collecting 17th, 18th and 19th century leather bound novels/books and 1st editions.
Good thing, because I have about 15 more books showing up next week with about 80 more to buy. Doesn't look like it, but this is around 80+ books! lol
So, keep the bikes or hide them?

Nice work, and the bikes look fine. Heck, I have a buddy who has an actual Harley mounted on the wall in his downstairs staircase. Some people don't get it, but that's OK, it's not there for them.

It's hard to believe your signature on the bottom of your message reads "Plastic is for toys", yet at the same time asking if the plastic motorcycle models on your bookshelves are tacky .

Other than that oxymoron... My answer is NO, they are not tacky - if you like them then that's good enough for me!

A: A biker lives there.

B: Bikers read.

Love it, unfortunately, my dens a little too small for that kind of artwork, lol
However, I do have a liquor cabinet like this going in, but mine's Chinese red inside and also illuminated on the inside.

I've already got around 6 or 7 first editions, all of these books are from 1831-1898, and only one from 1931 lol. I've been dealing with a guy in PA and he's selling to me direct, I met him on Ebay, but they stick it to him for 16%! We just started cutting them out. haha
My daughter will get my book collection, she couldn't care less about guns.

Nice work, but since you asked, a suggestion I think is sometimes additive in that situation, if it fits the shelf.

At the far end of a far shelf, stand up a half dozen or so of your smaller books, capture them on each side by the long sides of your bike bookends (front facing out), rotate the whole grouping about 30 degrees in the direction of the room entry.

Even though I am not a motorcycle enthusiast, I din't find them tacky at all. I have lots of books, and book shelves, there are a lot of my work, fishing, and travel souvenirs sharing the shelves.

I sold my last Harley almost 10 years ago and a friend keeps sending me those mini replicas every year around Christmas.
Mine are in the closet.

If you never had a bike in your life, then you got off on the wrong foot. Start off with a model of a Moto Guzzi V8 GP bike. Next, a Ducati 750 SS, 1974. A Guzzi Falcone. A KTM 640 Adventure from 2000, in blue and orange. If you are not a Harley rider, Harleys are tacky. But you could work a 1947 Knucklehead in there.
