Has anyone had any experience with the new "Plastic Bullets" by: PolyCase?
I belive they are marketed as: Inceptor ARX SD. Very expensive I've been told!

Just finished the article myself. Available in .380 for $30. Experimenting with plastic or polymer case also.

Picked up a 20rd box of Inceptor 45ACP for my XDs 3.3in.

With the 5rd mag and one in the pipe, the gun weighs an ounce and a half less than with 230gr.

Cycled the gun perfectly.

Noticeably less felt recoil than the 230gr Fed Hydra-shok I've been carrying.

10rds through the chronograph. High 1133fps Low 1114fps.
Stated velocity on the box 1150fps.

Guns&Ammo did a gel test using a 1911.
1210fps.
15.94in just gel. 15.75in with denim.

This looks like another gimmick to me. I don't think I'll be swapping out my 230 grain Ranger SXT's anytime soon. I might buy a couple of boxes to add to my ammo collection because I don't think anyone else will be busting down the door for these either. Who knows how long they'll be around?

Groo here
I am thinking we are putting too much weight on the
FBI type tests and specs.
LE requirements are different than SD .
WE would not be required to shoot through cover , at extended ranges,
or stay rather than leave.
The new types of ammo may be better than we think, and
penetration not so important as LE specs.
This round is lighter [ slows down faster so less range]
It also will take some weight of the gun [ especially doublestack and bigger bore]
Cost is a factor but you don't need that many.
And low recoil would allow for faster shooting.
Not an all around bullet but for city , home , etc ???????????????

Friend just bought some Polycase Inceptor ARX 45ACP.
The box had Ruger's name and logo printed on it. ???????
