Pondering Thought -- What is Life

Very true. Add to that they fought. I believe that the first two mammals that walked upright. found something to disagree on and fight over. This one against that one; this group against that one; this country against that one.... no matter when in history, no matter where on the planet, no matter how primitive, no matter how sophisticated, no matter how advanced.

Good point, and very true. I'm not sure, but we might be the only species on the planet that kills when there is no real need to do so. And yes, it's always been that way... :(

Humans are pre-wired to try to explain everything they encounter. Before the advancement of scientific knowledge they believed in higher powers. They were mythical creatures known as Gods of famine, thunder and lightning, and rain. It's called superstition.

Well, yes, except...despite the advancement of scientific knowledge, many or most humans still intuitively believe there is something greater than ourselves in the universe.

There have been many, many things in my life that can't be explained as coincidence. And every time I get out of my car at night, and look up at the sky, I am filled with a sense of wonder, and I simply can't chalk that up to "stuff happens"...

But, as they say...your mileage may vary! :)
