Yes, going on 43 years.
In reality, the only reason why I was jumping was to prove something to my Dad, he was Airborne Infantry the first 5 years of his military career with the 508th Regimental Combat Team.

I had an older friend who was a decorated paratrooper in WW11. We delighted in asking him how many jumps he had. His reply, " I never did jump, but they threw my *** out fifty-something times."

One of the only things my wife has one-upped me on is the fact that she's jumped out of a plane, and I haven't!
Once upon a time, long time ago, I was stationed at VF-11 NAS Oceana. We had F-4J's. One day the Squadron skipper was flying out in the operation area off Virginia Beach when his aircraft caught fire, likely from a hydraulic leak. His wingman saw the blaze and broadcast for them to eject. Shortly thereafter, the skipper and the RIO ejected. The skippers chute failed to open and the shroud lines looked like a tangled ball of yarn. While in free fall, he pulled the lines down, patiently untangled them, and threw the canopy back up. The chute opened normally, and both crewmen were safely rescued. I always thought that was a real display of cool thinking under duress.

I was going to try out for Combat Control early in my Air force career I was told I would have to learn to jump from a aircraft. I thought about it for about 10 seconds' then said Sorry but I am allergic to to nylon. and I get air sick.

My very favorite sign hanging in a Montana town east of here.
The sign that caught my attention was on I-95 just after I entered New Hampshire. "Welcome to New Hampshire, Rest Stop and Liquor Store X Miles". They were in the same building. Definitely one stop shopping.
When I lived in St. Charles County Mo. (St. Peters). I bought my liquor and guns from Lucky's Liquor in St Charles. It never seemed to be a problem.
My brother has a no teargassing sign on his gate a couple hundred yards from his place. It has bullet holes going from back to front so that when your standing there reading it the holes peal open to your face.
