Possible terror attack in Canada

It's official, CNN was the first to report that there is no indication the shooters had any links to "Radical Islam". You could almost start a pool. Which US Nationalized Press outlet will be the first to deny an act of violence can be linked to Radical Islam and at what time.

:D I didn't think anyone watched CNN anymore. Heck they just laid off another 300 people.

My deepest sympathy for those affected by this (assumed) terrorist act. It appears that the National War Memorial guard has passed from his wounds.

Sadly, the Canadians have that tragically flawed, utopic idea that if no one is allowed to carry guns, then no one will. The reality, as we all know, is that the law abiding citizens are punished and the those who wish to inflict carnage are emboldened. That made them a "soft target". Luckily, the Sargent-at-Arms was carrying and dispatched the shooter in the Parliament or this could have been much worse.

It will be interesting to see how the Canadian gov't. will respond militarily, procedurally and legislatively.

Kinda related. The Germans just stopped three American women who were on their way to join isis. The news said they were two somalis and one from? I forget where?Anyway, the FBI has them and its said these ragne in age from 15-to16.

BTW--does anyone have an idea how one becomes:"Radicalized?" Tome--that sounds like they are talking about a swarm of Bees..........

So how can this be going on when Canadians are not allowed to carry guns?

This would be a good time for our Canadian friends to get on board with personal security. Just because you are open, friendly and tolerant, doesn't mean you aren't at risk. The bad guys whoever they are, don't give a rat's backside what you think if it is different from them.

Prayers out to the home team that were shot.

Mosques and web sites. Many mosques in the US and elsewhere are recruiting depots for radical Islam.

Way too complex to explain here, but I highly recommend "The Grand Jihad" for details of how the Muslim Brotherhood works to help terrorism.

"Lone Wolf" terrorist is a made up media term. They are radicalized and I would consider them 5th Columnists.

In a logical world, they would be considered illegal combatants, given military trials, put up against a wall and shot.

Just like German soldiers who infiltrated the US in WWII. Although I think they were actually hung, not shot.

Just like any other spies and saboteurs.

They should not be treated the same way as bank robbers.

Lone wolf radicalized islamist runs over two Canadian soldiers

I'm thinking we'll see more of this...

sent from my phone 'cause I'm too lazy to walk to the laptop..

I just finished reading a book called Arab Winter Comes to America: The Truth About the War We're In. It is also another good book demonstrating how the Muslim Brotherhood works. I liked the book and it's pretty new, published in April of this year.

Is running over two pedestrians a "terror" attack? Really?

According to the posted news accounts in this case, they were uniformed soldiers, the killer was known to have become a radical Islamist, recently, he had just been detained by RCMP a month or so back, and his passport had been seized by the non-soldier authorities so yeah, I think "terror" attack seems to fit well.

Do you think vehicular homicide sounds better ?

Curse those Episcopalians and their "workplace violence"!

Saw a picture of the gunman on Ace of Spades just now. He was holding what looked like a .30-30 Winchester or Marlin.

MSNBC calls it an "AK47" in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1...

AK47/Mi6 assault rifle. Film at 11:00!!! (If we can find any tea party stock film)

"This is an assault lever action rifle, just like anyone can buy at Walmart. Why do we civilians have access to dangerous weapons like this whose only purpose is to kill people. And tasty wild critters, but I digress. We must ban these immediately, it's for the well being of the Canadian children."

Can you buy these in Canada?

Can you buy these in Canada?

I believe so. There are a lot of rifles and shot guns in Canada, especially in the western provinces where hunting and shooting are popular. I'm pretty sure it's handguns that have the very heavy restrictions.

Which won't stop certain people from suggesting that long guns be banned now. Next will be automobiles since a Canadian soldier was killed a few days ago. And knives, because a British soldier was hacked to death a few months ago.
