I used to coon hunt back in my lots younger days. It's a headlong activity, that's for sure. We never did the thing of shooting the coon in the butt with a .22 to get him down so the dogs could have him, though. It was enough for us to listen to the dogs trail and tree. We ran mostly Redbones and Black & Tans, with the occasional Bluetick.
They all made beautiful music in the dead of night. Cool photos! They were sure after him, weren't they? I still have a fondness for a well set up coon hound, no matter what the breed.
