Post them dogs up!

Thanks, Folks. Love the furry friends. I have two German Shepherds and two tiny toy poodles that make my home complete. They all think of themselves as lap dogs.

I used to coon hunt back in my lots younger days. It's a headlong activity, that's for sure. We never did the thing of shooting the coon in the butt with a .22 to get him down so the dogs could have him, though. It was enough for us to listen to the dogs trail and tree. We ran mostly Redbones and Black & Tans, with the occasional Bluetick.

They all made beautiful music in the dead of night. Cool photos! They were sure after him, weren't they? I still have a fondness for a well set up coon hound, no matter what the breed.

There's a little town up in the mountains here. Saluda, North Carolina. Every year they have Coon Dog Day! The population of the town increases by thousands.

Thanks for the post...there was a time when I too hunted redbones. We kill very few coons...I am also in it for the sport. A dead coon can never be run and treed again.

My dogs like to sit on the back of the couch and look out the front window.

We recently adopted a dog from a dog rescue organization.(she weighs 10.5 lbs) She did not take long to find the top of the couch.

This is my mom. She makes sure every room in the house is safe for me to enter, my chair or bed stays warm when I get out of it, and my ears are clean.

Gracie Lou has just turned 16 months. What a ride!!!!

This is Max...he's a purebred Jack Daniels mountain dog...it didn't take him long to figure out what that refrigerator was all about either!!! His sidekick is Roxy. She is a toy miniature Australian Shepherd. Always a perfect lady. Max on the other hand thinks it's his job to kill something every time we go for a walk!!!

I am blessed to have two sets of children, my two legged and my four legged!

In one you will see my human daughter (Remington) with Folly in one picture, and Hershey in the other. Hershey and Folly are 3 year 10 month old AKC Chocolate Labs, and are brother and sister. Hershey is resting her head in the crook of Remi's arm, while both Folly and Remi are facing the camera.
