I went to read a Karma thread here in the lounge and the pics of the books weren't showing, yet if you quoted the post the postimage links clearly showed. So to see if Postimage was up, I tried logging onto my account and my browser couldn't find the postimage.org server. After googling up a link to the postimage site and clicking on it, I came up with the following page:

As you can see by that screenshot, your links using the "postimage.org handle won't go through. But if you take the "org" part and replace it with "cc" (both without the quotes) your shortcuts will work again. At least they did for me. Hopefully they will resolve what is going on and get the old suffix snafu straightened out.

BTW, I did check a thread I had posted pics I have hosted on postimage and they still showed in the thread while I am logged in with Firefox, but I opened the same page up with Internet Exploder ((Explorer :D ) and not being logged in the pics did NOT show in IE. I went and replaced the original links just now with new links freshly hatched by Postimage and they then showed up in the post. :( So unless they get this .org snafu resolved and get it working again, I guess we will have to refresh all links in pertinent threads yet again.

Well. You are quite right.

I'm a user, a Photobucket survivor. This is a drag.

I was able to log into my account there, however.

Ok, here is the deal so far.

I waffled back and forth on a new photo imaging site.
After a lot of reading of other's testimonies I chose postimage.

Bam.

They had a hiccup in their action and now all my previously posted images totally disappeared.

Once again, I am not a happy camper.

But, all my images on still on their website. No images were lost.

What you have to do is go back to any posting with your image and edit the link.

Delete the '.org' after the word postimage and replace it with a '.cc'.

Works.

A little labor intensive? Yes.

Since the other photo imaging service crapped on us I haven't posted a lot of pictures so editing the link is really not such a problem.

I don't like thumbnails so I am at the mercy of a photo imaging storage service. My bad?

I don't store my photos on their site. I link from my computer to here. I learned that lesson with photobucket.

Postimage has removed the warning shown in the OP's post, but my old links still don't work. They've changed the "forum hotlink" for each photo, so that new posts, using it, show the photo.
