POWDER & LOAD SUGGESTIONS NEEDED

Looks just like an experiment a Trinidad State J.C. Gunsmithing student did in 1967. It was called the 7mm Shot Rifle. Long neck for multiple round ball stacked. A real shotgun made better groups with Buckshot! Not a new idea. If you see this, John, I am talking about you!

The reamers were made by a long ago reamer maker in Raton, NM named Mayer just for that project.

What weight bullet...

What weight bullet are you looking to load? IMR 4198 is good for many .17 cal cartridges. I'd start low and work up. You may get a medium load that way, but w/o a pressure approaching max you'll be in the dark.

PS: What's with the long neck? It appears to me to be a viable cartridge but I'd trim the neck back just long enough to hold a bullet well.
