Prayer request

Glad to hear the good news, Matthew! The "bad" news is relatively minor, and should be easily corrected if the node grows significantly. A prayer is offered for your continued good health.

Best,
John

Update: January 8th 2016

Folks I have some news from the late afternoon of December 31st until the morning of January 7th 2016 I was in the hospital.

I suffered a large and painful bowel obstruction.

basically all of the scar tissue that resulted from my lymph node cancer surgery wrapped around the darn thing squeezed it tightly.

But the doctors were able to treat the problem without performing surgery and I am now doing well.

I want to thank you wonderful folks for all of your prayers encouragement and compassion through this terrible mess.

Glad to hear that you're doing well, Matt. If that's the worst problem that you have you'll get by just fine.:)

Hang in there, Matt. As they told me in the Army, pain is just nature's way of telling you that you're still alive. It will all work out for you, I'm sure. Best wishes for no further complications.

John

2 thumbs up Matthew. I wish you and your family a very happy and healthy 2016. You're an inspiration to us all.

May 15th 2016: Two years ago Today My cancer doctor told me that I was a cancer survivor. And it has been a long difficult road to reach this point in my cancer Journey and I truly believe, that it would have been a much more difficult road if it were not for your support.

Thank you for your prayers your encouragement May god bless each and every one of you.

August 11th 2016 update: On Tuesday I saw my cancer doctor and we discussed the results of the CT scan that I had on August 2nd and their is good news and their is bad news.

First the good news I am still cancer free but here is the bad news The lymph node that they found in December 2015.

Is the size of my pinky finger and is 12 millimeters in size and is pressed up against the aorta in my stomach, now this lymph node is not cancerous thank goodness but if it reaches the centimeter range its time to worry, but my cancer doctor say's he will not recommend surgery unless its absolutely necessary because if they go in their, to remove it they could hit that other aorta and I will die.

I'm sorry this update is so long but I just want to say thank you for all the support and compassion you have shown me through this mess.

mg357, your courage and resilience are awe inspiring. Best wishes for an optimal outcome. You are remembered in my prayers.

Matthew, I have every expectation that things will turn out A-OK for you. The Lord upstairs has been watching out for you so far, and perhaps all of our prayers have helped a bit. Keep up the positive attitude!

John

mg357 It's NOT What Life Throws at us
(Yes it's a "Mess")
It's How we respond and overcome it

I'd say you're a Fighter, a Survivor and a Winner
Just keep up the good work

Matthew, in he three years since your diagnosis, I have not seen you complain once. You are a class act.

I am happy to pray for you and your dad.

Well said Rusty. In that regard you and Matthew seem to be cut from the same cloth. Both of you are in a class of your own.
