Tomorrow morning at 0430 I will leave and travel to the hospital for another heart procedure, a cardio oblation or laser surgery designed to correct AFib. The previous two cardioversions (electric shock therapy) did not work. I have good Docs and trust them, the oblation will take 2-3 hours and is on the schedule to start at 0800, it has a 70% chance of working to put my heart back in sinc. Its been in AFib since 17 May. I believe in the power of prayer and in all my travels around this blue sphere, prayer has gotten me through in times when I thought all was lost. I ask that you remember me in your prayers on 16 Jan in the year of our Lord 2018. Jim.

It sounds like you have an ectopic rhythm where the heart is getting a signal from some cells, other than those that are supposed to be sending the signal, causing the fast heart rate. Your doctors will use equipment to burn these cells so that they die and your heart should return to a regular rhythm after the procedure. The procedure should not cause any heart damage. It is a very small burn. It may take a few weeks for the rhythm to return to normal. Prayers for a successful outcome. My wife had the procedure several years ago.

I certainly wish you the best. I was scheduled for that procedure months ago and changed my mind. May God be with you and the team performing the procedure.

I had it done about 3 years ago. I had it done again Dec 19th. It works but some times the heart heals the scars after a while and it can return. The 2nd time they did both sides of my heart, so they went in both sides of my groin with the electrode burner. So far so good. I wouldn't do it for entertainment, but it's not that bad. The worst part is the cute young nurses shaving your groin and checking it every hour or so afterward. Leave your dignity at home. Also hospital food sucks. Good luck, it's not that bad.

I will pray for you, my best friend has had this done four times but they always cauterized his and they always help but they come back, he thinks that the last one has worked Good Luck I will pray! Jeff

Think, O God, of our friend who is ill, whom we now commend to Your compassionate regard.
Comfort him upon his sickbed, and ease his suffering. We beg for deliverance, and submit that no healing is too hard for the Lord.
We therefore pray that You bless our friend with Your loving care, renew his strength, and heal what ails him in Your loving name.
Thank You, Lord.
