Found one of these today. It's not in too bad of condition, but hand spring needs fixing, sometimes doesn't carry up until you point it down and the hand re-engages. It has some nice stag type of grips on it. Dealer asking $250.00 What do you think? c good

I'd offer him $175.00.
The hand spring is an easy fix.If my memory serves, It's the prewar wing-style,that operates off of a spring-loaded pin located on the inside of the side-plate. It could be that the spring itself is just gummed up from old grease or dirt.
I was in a local shop the other day that was asking $200.00 for one in about 40% shape with a lot of scratches.Also in the same shop was a Victory Model that someone had pretty much ruined,(From a collectors' viewpoint.)Someone actually paid $400.00 for this.I ended up leaving empty handed. There are so many M&P's out there,that you can wait for one in better shape,unless the price is right.
