Price Question About A 17-4

Looked at a mint with box blued 17-4 today. 3T’s and a pinned 8 3/8” barrel . Been shot but is mint to as new condition. Would prefer a 6” barrel but I’m just gonna shoot paper targets so no biggie. Price was $750.00 . What does the hive here think about the price ?

Depending on overall shape, $750 sounds good, but since you mentioned you had rather have a 6”, I would see if you could get it for less.

Last fall I paid $650 from LGS for a 17-3 made in 1973. Std hammer and trigger and original numbered to gun magnas. No box. Very nice shape. I also have an 18-3 , same age. I like the 4” and 6”. Never owned an 8 3/8”. It sounds like a nice gun. The pinned barrel went away during the -4 run , so would have one of the last of the pinned barrel guns.

These guns are the best. I also have a 67 no dash and a 14-3 6” to go with 22s.

If you are ok with the longer barrel go for it.

Hell, it's probably gone. That's a 1000 dollar gun, well maybe not for a few years but it will be very easily!!!!!!!!
