i got a quote today on the gun with the flash hider for 460 out the door. this seems a little high to me but does that sound right to everyone else? i dont know what people have been paying for them. thanks in advance
That's not that bad! i think i paid like 430 for mine (without flash hider).
If you have the money, i would go ahead and make the purchase.

I paid 480 for mine OTD without a flash hider. I didn't want to order a gun off the net, bought it locally.
These are about $375 (maybe less) direct from S&W with your military ID or police credentials.
If they'll sell direct to you for that price your "local dealer" is making a handy profit at anything over $400. Don't be afraid to haggle. And to walk away is that doesn't work.

Gunshops have overhead costs that need to be paid. When there's no more "mom and pop" shops because we want to squeeze the last penny out of their profits, where will we buy our guns from?
I find gunowners to be amongst the cheapest people on the face of the Earth. When buying they want the seller to practically give them the gun, when selling they want top dollar for their "stuff". They want it both ways.
I see this all the time.
Good for Brett, and those like him.
