Primers are getting hard to find online. Me and my neighbor are going to make a run to Ducan sat morning and see what we can get. I don't know how bad it is here in SW Oklahoma but we will see. Going to get some Blue Dot and give that a try if possible.

Many times I buy them when I pick up other supplies whether I actually need them or not.

I got low on, but never out of SP primers during the last shortage in 08' or 09'. I paid $40.00 for some then.

Ever since the prices and inventories returned to normal I just pick up a thousand here and a thousand there, so I'm ok for the time.

It's hit or miss around here, someplaces have them, and at a steeper price, and some don't. One of the LGS around here wanted $5.50 per 100 on CCI# 400. This is just getting crazy.

I suggest when the gun show in Tulsa comes in April buy, buy, and buy some more. I was there 2 years ago and people were wheeling reloading components out the door on 2 wheeled dollies. Buy when you can, what you can and as much as you can. It is the best way.

Seems LPP are still around but small ones forget about it.
With most pistols sold today being 9mm and 40 S&W that makes sense. SP primers are being used more and more in 45 ACP too.

I agree the best thing to do is buy a little here and there and it builds up quick. I think I have enough powder and primers to last the next administration shooting 150 rounds a week but I still buy some when I can.:D

30K primers and 25 pounds of powder? Nice stash!

I've got a quite a stash but cannot find small pistol anywhere, seeing as I just bought my .40 I never had a need for them until now :(

Try Dixie Ammo Dump - armthepopulace.com. They had SPs a couple of week ago.

No mention of those items on the ban list.

Oh give them time, they'll get around to it. It has taken the libs 40yrs to figure out ammo was the Achilles heel for gun owners. They'll get around to the reloaders too.
I think things will be tight all year, maybe well into 2014. There is still another election coming & if the libertarians & conservative gun owners don't pull their heads out of their rear ends, Obama will get it all. So buy as much as you can when it is available as long as you don't get hosed. It's gonna be a long cpuple years min.
If you don't vote, you are part of the problem. If you voted Democrat, even Libertarian, then you are the problem.

armthepopulace.com.
WOW, they got some high priced ammo, but then again, with the shortage, if you want it--you gotta pay for it.

I see Powder Valley is out or low on most primers and powder for handgun. That is a bad sign.

There is no small pistol primers anywhere to be found in my area. Went to several shops today and the shelfs were pretty bare. Not many hand guns either. I did get the last can of Blue Dot but there wasn't any other that would work for what I load. People are hoarding the stuff and it makes it tough on people like me. I quests I will just go to shotgun slugs till they come available. Need a rifled barrel for my mossberg maverick 88.

I went to two East Tenn gun shows in December and there were plenty of primers, Wolf, Winchester, CCI and Federal. Prices not too bad. IIRC, the most expensive were Federals, $33/1,000.

My guess is that the December, 2012 prices may soon seem like the good old days. Just last night I was looking at some of the online retailers and all primers were gone except for large rifle mag.
Many of the common pistol powers are gone as well. I am fortunate to have a good supply for my own use, having learned to stock up when I see a good deal. Here we go again.

I finally found some SP primers. Here at a gun show for 55$ a thousand, I just ponied up the cash because its the first brick I've seen in monthes

So if you had a prudent reserve before the last "Event" were you hoarding or looking ahead?

Quit with the whining...This cycle has been happening long before Bill Clinton was running for office.Plan ahead and save for such times. Or pay the going price because Walmart shelves are bare..
