ProMag Order

I hope you have better luck with ProMag than I have. I bought some of their Mini-14 mags some years back and they were utter ****.
I completely agree. I too was a victim of Promag's mini 14 mags...in fact nobody's mini 14/30 mags match the OEM quality and function.
BUT- good news the 15-22 mags get good reviews:)

So, my question is this... Are the Pro-mags a better quality that work better with the 15-22? I just purchased my 15-22 yesterday and would like to have some additional mags but don't want to waste money on junk. Any advice would be great.

Thanks!

I have not personally used them, but there was a shooter at the range today that had some. He said they have functioned fine in the month that he has had them.

There seems to be very few complaints posted here.

I placed an order with ProMag for 2 magazines last month and got an e-mail reply within a week stating that they do not ship to Ohio due to the 30 round limit and they are cancelling my order. I quickly reply to them stating that the limit does apply to firearms that chambers .22 long or short cartridges and should not reinstate my order. I also included a link to the Ohio code and did not receive a response from ProMag. In turn I ordered from Black Dog the 50 rd drum which I received yesterday :). Would still like to have a spare magazine.

Anybody else from Ohio get this email? I live in Ohio and ordered three 32 rounders on 1/23/13 and have not received anything from ProMag. If they truly aren't going to process my order then i would have liked at least a heads up in the past 3 and a half weeks.

Sorry I should have posted sooner but I got caught up on searching for a spare magazine and ammo.

Here's the e-mail I received on Jan 14, 2013 2:15pm from ProMag.

"Per Ohio we do not ship, sell or offer for sale any magazines over 30 rounds to anyone in Ohio or anyone using a billing address in the state of Ohio.
Please be advised we have cancelled your order.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
Thank you,
ProMag Industries"

I am also in Ohio. I ordered 2 32rd and 1 10rd from them back in mid-Jan. Got a shipping confirmation on Friday that only included the 10rd mag, the others had a quantity of 0.
I did not receive the email you posted from them. Will attempt to contact them tomorrow.

It's been exactly one month since I placed my order for four mags. Still no shipping notice. Still says "processing." Very frustrating that others who have ordered more recently have already gotten shipping notices.

I just got half of my order. Placed 1/24. Everything except the 15-22 mags came in.

Ah, maybe that's why people that ordered after me are getting shipping notices. Because they are shipping everything but the mags. Thanks. That makes me feel a little better.

That is possible.

I forgot to mention. I did NOT get a shipping notice, and when I log in, it still shows all of my order as processing.

I just got notification that my 2-17 order for 3 32 round 15-22 mags shipped today and they billed my bank account so I'm happy.

Hmm, I'm in Ohio and placed an order at the end of January. Order is still processing and I have not received the email stating they will not ship to Ohio

ProMag is really peeving me off. Companies are not allowed to ship CENTERfire magazines over 30 rounds to Ohio. CENTERfire, not RIMfire.

On a different note, does anyone know if you can alter the 10 round magazines that ProMag makes to turn them into 32 rounders? Just curious, didn't know if they were as simple to convert as the factory S&W ones.

I figure they are bombarded with emails, orders etc that they aren't getting the emails out to us Ohioans. It's bs that they won't ship here but I did what any person in need would do and begged a family member in Indiana to order for me lol. Hope it's not another month till I see em

Sounds like it should be your lawmakers that are peeving you off.
