Congrats! I pulled the pin in '97 after 30 yrs and have found that the only thing I really miss was those early days when I was a young uniformed cop working a beat. I now have time to do anything I want and actually shoot more, but have to pay for the ammo.
First of all thank you for your service. Congratulations on your well earned retirement. Now kick back, grab a cold one and think about what one thing you've really wanted to try, but couldn't because you didn't have the time. Now make firm plans to go do it very soon.
yes, I did retire once and go back. Now I am done for sure. Last time I didnt know what to do with myself: I was a classic old self-isolating widowed copper with grown kids. Now, I have built a life, and I think I can handle it better. At least I hope so.
Congrats JL. It gets better with age, retirement that is. Don't know how I ever worked because of the things I'm doing now. I pulled the pin Aug.28,1988 & never looked back. Yeah, I miss the guys I worked with but the freedom to do what I want to do is worth the 38 years I put in with Pac Bell. P.S. I've out lived most of the ***'s I worked for. LOL.
