I ranted a little previously about the wait time in ordering Tyler T Grips direct from Tyler MFG. What I failed to recognize was that Tyler T Grips, both produces a retro product and practices business like a retro company from the 1970s. This is not a bad thing, just something to understand. They don't take credit cards, debit cards, ACH transfers or any other of the recent financial technology for transmitting funds. They operate like a company from 1970, just like their product. If you send them a personal check they will wait for the check to clear their bank account and reconcile the receipt of the funds before sending the $25 grip you ordered. This may take several weeks as it is none manually, literally. If you send a bank issued money order you will receive your grip within two weeks (before that in my case) because they treat that document like cash. Don't send cash.
Here's my final point. If you want a Tyler T Grip either because you like the retro look (like me) or because you like the feel (like me) then send a money order or certified bank check and you will get your grip promptly. Don't send a personal check, the reasons are endless. Also, don't go to Amazon, Ebay or any other after market seller because they will only rip you off and you will end up spending $60 for a part you can have very easily within a few days for $25. They're a good company, they're just old school and I respect them for that.
