4X Stetson is my favorite. My hunting hat is another Stetson but with a Gus crease. You know, Lonesome Dove vintage.

Always wanted one, but until I saw how cool it looked on BB I didn't think too much of it. So I was going to buy Walter Whites from Breaking Bad, but his was actually a cheap wool hat, yuk pass.
So, I bought a "Biltmore" made of 100% rabbit.

I tend to dress for work when formal ware is required in the old style--1910's - 1950's. If business casual, it is usually a polo shirt or button down with one of these:

Wow, didn't realize how popular they still are these days until I went through this thread.
I only have two hats that are not ballcaps; The one on the left is a Fedora I bought in a hat shop in downtown Eureka Springs, Arkansas about 15 years ago. 100% wool felt and about the only time I wear it is in wet or cold weather in winter.
The other I've only had a couple of years, a Winslow from Gone Country Hats in Orlando, Florida. It's my summer time palm straw hat that does a great job to wick heat and sweat away from your head to keep you quite cool. Rain doesn't bother palm straw either, just let it dry before putting it away.

I have a couple of Stetsons but Biltmore fits me better.

I'm guilty of that. Restaurants and other "inside" places no longer have a safe and secure place to put a hat. I won't risk my $250 Stetson putting it on the floor under my chair or somewhere out of my sight.
A ball cap is a different story and should be removed inside.[/QUOTE
Being as you are a member of this forum I will assume you are carrying so no need to remove your Stetson. One is allowed to retain his cover when armed, at least that is how I was trained.

When my wife and I dine at restaurants, the ones that still have coat rooms are few and far between. I always make sure our table seats four. My wife sits opposite me and my hat goes on the chair to my left.

When I was a very little kid on Sunday's I couldn't wait for my grandfather to get home from the early Mass so that I could wear his fedora. He let me wear it all day, then put it away for the next Sunday. He wore a tweed cap during the week. I guess that started my life long habit of wearing hats.
Currently I've got several Stetson fur felt fedoras and a couple of straw fedoras. Also a Stetson Open Road, and a straw hat that looks like Darren McGavins in "Kolchak: The Night Stalker". Oh, and I still have my grandfathers fedora in a box in the closet. Too small for me now, but too many memories to get rid of.
