Question on new model 640

I came across a new S&W model 640 that is somewhat unique. First, it is a no lock? Second, it is engraved, and in a wooden Smith & Wesson presentation box. Also the stocks are not standard issue. They are engraved as well. I wish I had a photo, but didn't have the opportunity to take one. However I did get the serial #.

Can anyone help me with this .357's value. I have a shot at it for $725 and decided to do some more research first. This forum came to mind as the most resourceful.

OK guys, I followed up with a little research on my end and I see it is factory machine engraved, and these came with no lock on most.
I am mostly a shooter and not a collector, but I didn't want to pass up a great deal. However, it appears as only a fair deal. I will pass on it.

The s/n dates to May - June of 2014, so it's definitely new production.

Was the gun Performance Center marked?
