Long time auto fan coming over to the wheel gun side with lots to learn. Have an eye on a purchase of a 327 but some research has me concerned on the longevity of the ti cylinder. Have read comments about flamecutting, etc. For those of you with ti cylinders, can you tell if the attached is indicative of normal wear (e.g., burn rings) or problematic wear (e.g., erosion)? This has supposedly only been fired a few times. Thanks in advance.

Looks totally normal to me. When you clean it, don't use anything more aggressive than a nylon brush, to preserve the coating they put on it. IIRC, most erosion problems are due to removal of the coating.

If that is a S&W 327 JM with the 5 inch barrel (with titanium shroud) that is a rare gun. That cylinder looks great to me, I would buy it if it were offered to me.
