question(s) re: electric walk-behind mowers

I used to travel quite a bit and the then wife bought a corded electric mower. Did great for however long we were in the house. Was light no issue pushing it around on a flat lawn.

LESSON ONE! You've got to start mowing at the far side/end of the yard and do a back and forth while moving the cord. Not a real big deal once you get used to it.

Many thanks to everyone who responded. I appreciate your willingness to assist. If our schedules permit, we may go today to look at a couple models you've suggested.

Regards,
Andy

I would not be able to get much of my place mowed with a electric mower but I do use a Kabolt 80V trimmer and it does a good job.. Most times it last through the job. Once in a while I need to charge it to finish but I have a lot to do. I also use it with a pole saw attachment and it works well for that also.

The rider with the 54" deck doesn't fit through the gate to the dogs' yard. It is 20X40 bent in an L. That and the detail work are what the Battery mower are for. The tool that surprised me the most in that series is the chainsaw. Unless it is for a big downed tree I seldom pull the gas saw out of the shed anymore. I can hear the radio as I'm working now.
