I was hoping some of the folks that concealed carry on a regular basis might be able to help me out with a few questions. I recently had my carry pistol stolen over the Christmas break (SIG), and I am putting my 65-1 into service as my go to pistol now. I was just wondering if anyone has recommendations for a quality holster, and better grips (it is wearing pacmeyer hard rubber grips that are pretty large). Nothing special just a solid rig for daily use. Thanks.

+1 on the factory magnas.
As far as a holster it depends on how you wanna carry.

Is it a snubby that can use a coat pocket holster?
Or are you looking for an IWB? or on a belt?

Your answer will probably narrow down the responses.

Thanks for the responses. My model is a 4", so IWB is probably not as comfortable as the pancakes mentioned above. I will probably go with the simply rugged, looks like a pretty good holster. Now I just need to decide if I want to find an original set of magnas or different grips.

I sometimes carry my 65-5, 3-inch in a Simply Rugged pancake OWB holster. I like how it fits the gun and holds it in tight to the body, as well as it's great price. If I remember correctly, the holster is available with belt snap-on loops as well.

For comfortable concealed carry of a 4" K-frame revolver the pancake-style holsters are hard to beat.

The Simply Rugged Sourdough model is a well-designed holster, and all comments I have seen indicate that Simply Rugged makes a fine product and provides excellent customer service.

I think you will be well-served by this choice.

Best regards.

Ray, you're a gentleman beyond compare...

I usually use Galco holsters; good quality and fast service, especially if it is a stocking holster. I use Craig Spegel grips on all my J & K frame round butts. Sorry you lost your Sig. I've got a 220 that's been worked over by the Cylinder & Slide Shop. Great shooter.

Thanks for the responses, I think I have a pretty good idea of what I will go forward with now. Thanks to Lobo's comments I think I am going to order a 1-SL Pancake from Lobo Gun Leather and Craig Spegel boot grips. Thanks again to everyone, nice to have a place to come and get good advice from good folks.

Ahrends makes some nice RB K frame boot grips too...

sorry to hear of your loss..I can relate as my S&W 1911Sc was stolen from me last Dec. Lobo's holster are certainly a quality product and a fellow forum member to boot.
I am using factory rosewood round butt smooth grips on my S&W M66 2 1/2 as they don't chafe or bind on anything. Hope LEO's will find YOUR gun soon...mine has been gone for over a year.
