When we came home from the Y today, I saw Zachary laying on the carpet. He had been sick for a while and after a visit to the vet, we've been medicating him with meds the doctor prescribed and trying to get him to eat. We kept hoping he'd perk up, gain some weight.
I thought he was just napping and reached down to pet him.
He was cold and stiff.
We just got done burying him in our back yard. My wife wrapped him in his favorite blanket.

Sorry to hear of your loss. I know you and your wife is going through a bad time now. Best I can say is be thankful for the many good years you had Zachary.

"The hole pets leave in our hearts is not to make us sad, but rather to take a piece of our heart to keep next to their own, to remain close to us, to remember us, and to love us still. So wherever they go, our hearts beat as one."

Thank you,

Dang...sorry for your loss, Snubby. Just finished telling Old Bear about my Border Collie, Patsy, who is currently having a tough time. It's a little tough to face, but I'm thinking she'll probably be crossing the rainbow bridge fairly soon now, too.

My thoughts are with you, pard. May the fond memories of Zachary always be alive in your heart.

Wayne, so sorry to read this post. It seemed like Zachary had taken a turn for the better, but it was not to be. I know you & your lady will miss him, & in a way, so will I. Not hearing of his exploits & adventures anymore will be a bummer. Hang in there sir!

God Speed, Zachary...

Deepest condolences to you and the family on your beloved pet.

Their lives are too short, they give us so much and ask for nothing in return.

They touch us too deeply to ever be forgotten!

My condolences. We lost our last cat in its sleep. He wasn't old or sick. He wasn't moving and when I reached down to check on him on our bedroom floor he was stiff. Rough experience. I love my 3 dogs and 2 cats.

Zachary sounds like he was lucky to have you. He lived a much better life than most cats. Try to think of him and smile. But it still hurts.
