Been raining here almost every day. Leaving for VA on Sat for a month. Sure hope the suns shining.

I was thinking about! 
The rain has finally ended here and we have a nice day of sunshine.
Suppose to carry through the weekend until next week and we’re back into the hot humid days of summer, but I don’t think I’ve seen anymore rain in the forecast!
I’ve drained more water out of my pool then I’ve put into it all summer!

Still is drought here also and all counties in the Texas panhandle. We are about 5-6 inches behind normal rainfall for us.

I had 8 plus inches in 3 days last week. Supposed to rain tomorrow. I need to mow weeds again in the mule pasture.
It has only rained twice here. Once for 35 days and once for 45 days.

PaulH, it's raining here in VA like it is in NJ. People here are starting to grow gills.
With the wildfires out West, you better believe some rain would be welcome. The smoke has made air quality in Washington State unhealthy to hazardous depending on where you are.

Sorry it's been the wetest summer I seen in the 11 years I have ben down here .
When family camping in the Gettysburg, Pa. area for 4 days It rained Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday! Otherwise it was a nice campout!
We got married in the Spring of 1978 and went camping every other weekend of that summer and early fall. I didn't remember any rain, but the wife remembers it raining for about 45 minutes once. We have been camping every summer and fall since and only been rained on 10 or 12 times. Until the last few years. So last year I bought a "Froggs Toggs" rain suit for the camp out, it self destructed in the first hour I had it on. I replaced it with a Cabela's Gortex rain coat. Their pants won't go on over tennis shoes let alone hiking boots! I got pants at Dick's (before they melted down) that work fine for half the price.
When the sun is shining, rain gear is wasted space, when the clouds give you their best, you can't have enough dry gear!

Here in most of Ct. for the month we've had 8"over the normal rainfall so far. Down on the shore at Bridgeport they are only a 1/2" over normal for the month.
I think that it's better than a drought.

SML is no fun when it's raining
We have had some rain. But at least we can get the boat off the lift.
Last year we could do that with the drought. Come on down, the water is fine.

Getting a good dose of that down here in NV, too.
We are having a looong monsoon season, although it hasn't produced that much rain at my house. That may sound contradictory, but in the 21 years I've been here I've never known the monsoon pushes of humidity go this late into August. It has also been hot with it. We are still on track for an "all triple digit August", and this is actually unusual in Vegas.

We had six inches of rain here in the desert today. Of course you realize that means the drops were six inches apart, right?
Last night it rained an inch and it came down like a monsoon. I drove to the state line between Maryland and Pa. and the road was nearly flooded to the point of being impassable. I managed to crawl slowly through the standing water and got home.

Send us some of that rain, please. The smoke from forest fires has been thick here for days. We need a few days of steady rain and strong winds to clean things up and give the fire crews a much-needed break.
Oklahoma broke all records for rain in the month of August and that was after only the first two weeks of the month.

It was 104 yesterday afternoon when I left work. My lawn is a brown crackly mess, and the road gives up dust so that it can have shade for a moment.

Had a bit over 4" of rain here since August 1st. Welcome break from the drought. Had less than 4" from October through August.

Last time I said, "Oh, look, it's raining," there were a total of five drops on the windshield.

Earlier this week the western parts near Madison got up to 15” of rain causing areas of major flooding. Now more rain coming tomorrow.
Seems like it has been a summer of no rain then heavy rain and so on. But this week’s deluge set records.

It's drying up a little bit because we haven't had asbolute downpours for a few days, just thunderstorms that pass quickly. It was close to 40 days and nights here, maybe longer.
