This video gives me goosebumps. Tommy Browder aka Kid Creole on keys was a 6th grade classmate. His brother Stoney RIP is the bassist.
Cory Daye still can belt it out today.
All, including the other members, came out of the same neighborhood and HS as did I.

Latest order out of the woodshop. Client has a timer framed outside eating area with open sides and they wanted a BIG table to put in there. I used some 7 year old beams had stashed away and made it with dowel and peg joinery and glue, no metal parts. The style matches the structure framing and the top boards weigh about 100# each so they are held in place by cleats so they can be removed one at a time and set aside if they need to move the table. It is probably 500#-550# total.

When I first got them they were 23’x13”x3+”! I killed these down to 8’ in length by 10” wide by 2 7/8” thick. They were some of the original sanctuary floor joists in the church I grew up in and became available when they did a remodel.

A couple of years ago I looked outside and something caught my eye. In a niche of our deck was a fawn. She must have been scared or tired or both. I didn't see the mother anywhere near. So I got a couple of pictures and left her alone. Eventually mom came back and the two were together again.
