Random Object Photographs

Perfect day for a ride along the St. Johns River.

One of these days I need to take my real camera with me.

Another beautiful morning. I love waking up. ;)
Well, it certainly beats the alternative :)

We have one of those out here today, too. And the weather office is predicting 93º on Sunday and Monday  We just don't get temps. like that out here in near-coastal British Columbia until August. But I guess we will now.

For those that frequent the kitchen and have a fondness for cast iron cookware, here is a rarely seen sight - a clean cast iron pan bottom. I got tired of dealing with many decades of cooked on scale. So much scale that it was difficult to read GRISWOLD, so I took it into the basement and media blasted it. (Golddollar, this is the one I mentioned to you in Gettysburg a month or so ago.) It has been used several times since the cleaning and is developing a nice cure again....

Color me gobsmacked. Who'da thunk it? If you'd just told about this without a link, I'd have thought you were just taking the ****, as it were.

I've heard of a "fly on the wall", but never a fly on the wall of a urinal.

I sent this and the pic I took to a musician friend who's going on tour to Finland next month. His reply: "...fabulous to know, since I'll be stuck at that very airport heading to/from Helsinki!" I reminded him, "Pics or it didn't happen" :)

Yat another pic of "Chariie-of-epic-whiskers", luxuriating in the foliage of my gf's garden.

For the hard-core photographers on the Forum, my gf tells me this was originally shot with her Nikon DSLR under low light, which resulted in some graininess, but she was able to remove it in Affinity Photo (which she now uses in place of Photo$$$hop) with a filter extension from "Topaz" which she was able to get years ago for very low cost. Apparently the Topaz filters are now really expensive, but work incredibly well.
