Rusty
I have several old drills, sanders, etc. What circles are paying enough to put a serious dent in my bar tab?

Most great day here, low 80's and sunny. Good day to kill some paper. Supposed to be low 70's tomorrow. I'll take all 10 of my moms hurricane panels off then.

The feral family has been around enough they have taken over most of the pictures I get lately. Momma is quite feral still and very suspicious of any human. Accounts for some of the intensity in the pic I got tonight. Her daughter, who is laying in back, was a kitten back in March/April when I first saw her. That daughter is called Scruffy Kitty by my next door neighbor, who feeds her scraps in the evenings and is slowly socializing her some. Maybe that one will be able to become a housecat.

Big Boy #4014 Tour

Union Pacific Railroad's 1941 "Big Boy" #4014 puffed its way into N.E. Oklahoma yesterday on its eight-week Heartland of America Tour across nine states so the boys & I went to check it out, along with a few other locals. :p

Earlier in the year it visited five states on its Westward Bound Tour thru Wyoming to California.

Of the (25) made only (7) are left in various static displays across the US & just this restored example as operational making it the largest & most powerful steam locomotive still operating.

The locomotive is so long (132 ft) its frame is "hinged", or articulated, to allow it to negotiate curves.

Originally a coal burner it was converted to #5 fuel oil but it can still put out some smoke. ;)

The Iris seems rather confused - they bloom in Spring. Here we are in mid-October and it's blooming again.

The brilliant red maple lasted about one day. Later the same day that I took the picture, the wind came up and most of the leaves flew away.

It stopped in my home town, traffic was stacked up for miles, no way to get too close . I saw it a few years ago on a previous trip. Sure is BIG!!!
