Random Object Photographs

The two boats I worked on.

1st is a 66' Pacemaker. I lived on her for 14 years. 4 1/2 years as 1st mate, 9 1/2 years as captain.

Here we're entering Narragansett Bay heading to Newport, RI for the summer. Photo taken by a friend from his boat.

2nd is a 85' Mathis Trumpy. Pic taken from deck of the Pacemaker. I worked on her part time for 3 summers when I was first starting as mate for the experience.

Photo in Annapolis, Md.
You had to come by me entering the bay.

We docked at Goat Island. Don't know if you can make it out but the Pacemaker is stern out on the inside of the 2nd pier from the bottom left. The Whaler is tied to the swim platform.

I'd go out to the lighthouse all the time. Take a lunch maybe was my truck.

I used to head down there alot when I wanted a break from the boat.
My favorite spots were Champlins and Aunt Carries. For breakfast either the Breakfast Nook for their eggs Benny with asparagus, or Ocean Mist in Matunuck for bloody Mary's and something with lots of jalapenos.

I still check out the Lila Delman webcams about every other day just to check on the weather and water.:D

I spent 7 summers there and I'm originally from the Cape, so I knew the area fairly well.

Champlins is still good and the Ocean Mist is a great place, the Nook is not the same as it used to be years ago.
