Mammatus clouds

My son took this picture today after the storm front passed thru.

After a storm on a July evening in 2010 my wife told me to come and look at these strange clouds. It was a rather eerie sight seeing the clouds bubbling and rolling while the weather was now dead calm and silent.

This is a playground, basketball court and amphitheater. It's located in the old mining town of Bisbee, Arizona and was built on the site of an old graveyard a century ago. They THINK they relocated all the graves, but they are not 100% sure. Some say they can hear strange moans late at night. It does have a spooky aura.

And this is the old Oliver House, also located in Bisbee, on a small hill located just under the old high school where my mother graduated in 1929. It's the house with the porch light on. There have been 15 documented deaths in that house. People who have been there have reported such things as seeing an old lady dressed in black rocking back and forth in a rocking chair, and the sound of running feet late at night.

This is the Copper Queen Hotel in Bisbee, and it's well over a century old now. Many ghost sightings here, and I can relate one personally.

My wife and I on a lark, decided to stay in a room that was once used by a prostitute at the turn of the century. She committed suicide there one evening in despondency over a lost lover. A cornered felon was also shot dead in that room in the 1920s. We woke up that morning, and as I went into the bathroom, I noticed dark red droplets on the floor. A closer examination showed that no doubt at all - I was looking at fresh blood.

I had not cut myself while shaving, and my wife and I were then in our 70s. I wrote up the incident in the hotel's "ghost log", where there were 100s of reports over the years.

This is main street in Bisbee at night. It really is spooky, and the town just reeks of its very interesting past.

You can see strange things at dusk there.
