Charlie of Epic Whiskers - not much in focus, narrow depth of field, usually means Lens wide open.
But - his face, whiskers and EYES in focus and sharp.
This girl at the Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge is in good focus but I wish her eyes were sharper.
You can even see a drop of water on her bill.

My gf said she shot in low light and had to use one of the Topaz filters to get the graininess out. I'm guessing that given she was using a DSLR rather than her iPhone, it was a challenging shot. I'm sure she was focussing (as it were) on his face :)

I don't have the original or I could go into the EXIF data. I'll ask her when we chat this evening. "More news at 6" as they say.

For those that frequent the kitchen and have a fondness for cast iron cookware, here is a rarely seen sight - a clean cast iron pan bottom. I got tired of dealing with many decades of cooked on scale. So much scale that it was difficult to read GRISWOLD, so I took it into the basement and media blasted it. (Golddollar, this is the one I mentioned to you in Gettysburg a month or so ago.) It has been used several times since the cleaning and is developing a nice cure again....

That is beautiful. Thanks for posting it.

Saw this on a small Honda when driving home today. (Actual image was too poor from my dash cam so modified a similar one from the 'net.) Don't think the Honda has that many gears but it's the thought that counts :)

I am pretty sure my wife's RWD Honda has that many gears??
(I do not get to drive, unless it needs tires, or inspected,, ETC!!)

Some pics from taking Mom to the park where she used to work in the Butterfly Garden with her Master Naturalist friends. She joins up with them a kibitzes for a while and I walk around with my camera.
