A couple of pictures of a colorful fly, Adejeania vexatrix, my Daughter took in Colorado yesterday. If you look closely you will also see an ant on the Thistle in the top picture.
John sent me those pics last night and queried what characters could JR fashion from them. JR said "challenge accepted".

Neighbour and I spent a pleasant couple of hours at the range this morning. I liked his t-shirt:
I think that is actually a tiny bee, instead of a ant.
Every single time I see this fella I hear Michael Keaton's voice in my head saying, "I am.....Batcat."
Feeding time again. While the kids are eating dry catfood these days they also continue to take advantage of Mom's milk as long as she will let them.

One thing about Antelope- when you look at them some of them are already looking at you!

Daughter #1 is back in CH.
Today, I got to shoot myself. First testing the scope:
Then the irons. Front sight turned out to be loose - must have happened during the move last Nov. Testing took more time than the fix.

This is the more shy of the two littles in my backyard. Always scampers for the scrub even if Mom is there and relaxed around me.
"I love you, Mom. Now feed me!"
John, I love the looks of calico cats but every one I've ever had was schizophrenic. In fact most females, which includes all calicos, seem distant and strange compared to all my gelding cats. Had one really great female cat and 25 great males. No luck at all with calicos.
Here's our only current female and she's about half crazy. She's shares facilities with three "used to be" boys. She's pretty cool but not very sociable. We "fix" em all. Never seems to be a shortage.

Living off the Grid, you say?
New Mexico being the 5th largest state with 2+ Million population, lots of space!
And we got a bunch of folks living off the grid! Not sure how many, probably tens of thousands, my guess.
And a lot of these locations are pretty shabby, some look scary.
But some are high tech and high end (expensive).
Like this one which is located on deeded land surrounded by National Forest.
You're not allowed to drive in, shot this from Nat Forest from afar.
