One of my close friends in high school had a nephew and the parents last name is Black. They named the boy Jet Black. How would you like that one hung on you.

I went to school with comic book characters. Charlie Brown and Dennis Mitchel were classmates of mine.

In my old hometown, long ago, there was a fellow who drove a small van with "Interior Decorator" painted on the side. Under the main sign was his name painted: Harry Hollowpeter. True story.
Dave

True, for the LEO's

A friend of mine retired last year from the Everett Police Dept.

His name was Lawman Johnson.

Lawman F Johnson was born in 1946. Lawman currently lives in Wilmington, Massachusetts. Before that, Lawman lived in Everett, MA from 1985 to 1991.

When I was in the Army way back about 1975, we had a Lieutenant who's given first name was General.
It was always fun to tell the new guys to report to Lt. General Smith.

My last name is Doane. In the Army we wore our names on our uniforms. One of my co-workers always called me "Drone", was he trying to tell me something?

When I was in OCS at Quantico... one of the candidates had the last name of "Marine".

The drill instructors were merciless on him... "You ain't no Marine yet! Right now you are %*&^*!"

His uniform had his last name stenciled and he was a walking DI bullseye 7x24.

Names

I was 12 years old before I found out my first name was not God D****

There's a fellow in Guilford Co., NC named Archery Thompson. He was once arrested for "shooting within city limits." It probably was inevitable.

I've got a 50 year pal with the last name of Haas. You know his nickname has been Jack since about the 8th grade. :)

I know a guy named Russel Peters.... my uncle calls him rusty.

Something occurred to me in high school while filling out forms. My first and last name have the same amount of letters. Same day went to the football game and the cheerleaders were spelling out the home town and team name.... they ALL have the same amount of letters. Not something anyone would notice but me... but thought it was kind of crazy at the time.

I once dated a divorcee named Terri Bean. For some reason she kept the married name. Her maiden name was Greene. I guess she got tired of me calling her "Green Bean" because we didn't date very long. Also, you should see what our local Pamela Sue Anderson looks like. It's scary.

Years ago I worked in a treatment center with a nun. She said one of her duties as a novice (soon after Vatican II) was to drive the country roads around the convent checking on elderly folks and shut-ins. One day she saw a mailbox with the name Ophelia Bosom. None of the sisters would believe her till she took a couple with her and showed them.

Young people who are polite think my name is Mister Mike. I tell the others it's "That's MISTER Dude to you, son."
