A good friend of mine Randy Traska built/created this custom S&W Model 645 for me. Randy, former owner of Final Option Enterprises, was a long time Smith&Wesson employee, and eventually went to the FBI as a department armorer. Randy has retired from gunsmithing, and now dedicates his time into antique furniture restoration. This 645 was one of the last guns he did as a special favor for me.
The gun underwent the following changes, The slide had Novak three dot white sights installed, the right side (ambi) safety was removed, a match barrel was installed along with a new guide rod, the frame was reshaped around the grip frame, backstrap, and the trigger guard hook was removed. A wide smooth trigger and reshaped hammer were installed, and super smooth action job was done The magazines were reshaped, and the final piece was adding/fitting a 4516 slide to the original 645 frame giving me a smaller carry option if I chose to do so. The gun/magazines (total 7) were then given a black dull finish over the stainless to complete the gun.

That is a cool pistol, sort of like a 52 on steroids with the guard reshaped like that. Sounds like a keeper!

That is a very fine looking pistol. I have a 3913 that Randy did for me when he and his partner first opened Final Option. His work was first rate.Randy fit 6 mags for me. He ground the front slightly on two of them and those were the ones seated while carrying. i carried that for 12 years. My 3913 has never had a malfunction with factory ammo. Too bad he retired.

Beautiful. One of the nicest custom 645's I have ever seen.

Very nice! Thanks for sharing the pics.

I miss my 645. I'd love to have one like yours. Just beautiful, congrats! Regards 18DAI

Just stumbled on this.......

Beautiful pistol.
Does anyone know....first hand....of a gunsmith who has expertise with 645's.
They are my favorite pistol...and I would love to get one customized a bit.

Thanks,
