I just ordered a batch of Mossberg 930 SPX shotguns today. I'm thinking I may keep one for myself. Anyone had any experience with them? I've always been a Remington guy, so I thought I'd give the Mossies a try.
Stick with the #4 Buck - 27 pellets each about the size of a .22 LR round. Devastating indeed. Tears the hell out of the target at close range. At 25yrds or more, drop in the rifled slug and let er rip.
I have fired the 590A1 and 500 at the same range trips. They both had stock stocks. The extra weight of the 590A1, primarily due to the heavy barrel, made a noticeable difference in felt recoil. FWIW.
Haven't seen, much less fired one of those new 930 SPX F/F? When they come in if you take one out to play, let us know what you think? I like the 1913 on top! Lots O' choices that way!
