RE: Saturday in Andalusia

1400 paid admission, 250 members and First Responders admitted for free.
My 1940 Non-Registered Magnum is now on its way to Mississippi in the hands of Charlie Sherrill (SWCA).
Actual total sales for Debbie and me is $180, One holster, several sets of Colt and S&W wooden grips and some odds and ends.
Brandon's Economic Policy is working at the gun shows. Whereever folks are spending money it is not at the shows.
Sounds like the O town boys had am good time in Mouseville, and the shows there are about like the shows in 'bama.
Plenty of pistol ammo. Lots of different rifle and scattergun ammo. Plenty of new and vintage S&Ws. Lots of new Colt Snake Gun revolvers at prices that are better than MSRP. Lots of evil black guns and wooden stock long guns.
After the show closed all of the volunteers and vendors were treated to a catered catfish or chicken dinner. It is hard to complain about FREE. And it was actually pretty good.
Tomorrow is a new day, but I do not expect much to happen.
Status report/wrap-up will be tomorrow evening.
The only purchases were, BBQ sandwiches for lunch and brownies from the widow lady.
Ashland M60-1 S/N ALUXXXX priced at $1200 (no box), and a M24-3 2.75" from Lew Horton at $1800 w/box were the unusual S&Ws seen.

RE: Sunday In Andalusia, AL

There were another 500 + paid admissions at the gate. The 2000 is about what we did last year here.
The crowd today was not in any better spending mood than yesterday's crowd.
We only did three more sales today, and none were high dollar. One of today's sales was a Viet Nam era Waltham aircraft clock from a wrecked Huey at Ft. Rucker.
Total sales were $1660 for the whole show. $1300 of that was for the 1940 magnum from the MS State Police, $75 for the clock, and the rest was for grips and holsters.
But we were not at the show to make money, we were there to meet folks and have fun. We managed to do both and had a very good time.
We may try to get to Laleland next month before we head back to Hoover, AL for the last collector show of 2023 in October.
That about sums up the weekend in Andalusia, AL.
