I have one very close to yours that shipped in May 1974. Yours looks like a nice example. They shoot well, just chamber from the magazine.

I have a 39-2 with serial # A2791** and I think mine was manufactured in late 1975 to early 1976. I hope someone else chimes in but I suspect yours is probably from around 1974.
Here is a picture of mine but the hammer went bad on mine and an Officer had a used hammer in his parts bin and fixed mine. The hammer is probably a early model 39 hammer prior to most 39-2's.

Hello Mr.2. I have never seen or read a factory directive on the hammer change to the solid configuration. I have read that their were some changes at A180000. Was the hammer one of them? Not a clue. I have observed that the hammers after the above Sn. were solid. Mean anything? Again not a clue. The factory did not waste good parts. Maybe a box of hammers showed up once the hammers with no holes were being used. Bingo, you have a batch with holes. Who knows?
