SIMPLE!!!!

I'd like to hear how others do it.

I'm in the early stages of building a K32 and I'm looking for methods, and tooling/jigs used.

I have a plan, but I'm certainly open to options that will be easier and/or provide better results/alignment.

My current plan is to simply indicate the cylinder in, indicate center of each chamber, use an endmill to open it up fairly close to final dimensions, then ream...

I've yet to decide if i'll do each chamber one at a time, or use the DRO to indicate each chamber and go through all the chambers with every tool change.

Thanks in advance for the input!!

Here is what I do. First I turn a dummy on my lathe that will just fit the original chamber and give it a shank that is the same size as my tooling. Then, I use the dummy to align a chamber on the cylinder. I have made brass plates that go in my mill vise and set the chamber on parallels over a open spot in the bottom of the vise so the end of the tool passes through. Then I run all the tooling necessary to complete that chamber. Then go to the next chamber. Other chambers are filled with fired brass of their current caliber. Another thing I do is use an old ejector rod to make a piece to hold the extractor down tight. Check this thread out where I did a 44 mag into a 45 colt.
