Recoil control..Pachmayr vs Hogue

Please share your experience when using Pachmayr and Hogue grips.....

which grips are the most effective in easing recoil from a J frame.....Pachmayr rubber with covered backstrap or Hogue rubber with a covered backstrap.....
Pachmayr declerator grips. (covered backstrap)

The Pachmayr Diamond Pro grips are awesome.

Plenty cushy for range duty. Badger's for home use.

Both Hogue and Pachmayr make good grips. I have used both and find them to perform well. However, I do prefer the covered backstrap and wider finger grooves on the Pachmayr. The finger groves on the Hogue are are little more pronounced. Both help with recoil, even the wood Hogue grips tame recoil compared to the standard style stocks.

But for the best recoil control I would say Pachmayr is the best. The large amount of rubber covering the backstrap simply cushions the recoil. The material is a little more absorbent as well.

Here are my after Market grips, not on guns.
I seem to be more J Frame oriented than I realized!

One thing that stands out in reading this thread is that there is no answer to the OP's question...just too subjective. Looks like the anatomy of your hand and the way you hold your firearm are going to determine what feels best to you. Surprise, surprise:-)
