Red dot on a 5906?

Does anyone know of a 'smith doing a red dot installation for the 5906? I don't have the gun yet, so I can't tell if there's enough meat on the top of the slide to make a red dot area for a plate, such as you're seeing on the current semis being made these days.

EGW makes a dovetail mount that would work for the 5906. I believe the existing fixed sight dovetail in the slide would have to be re-cut to accommodate the mount, or, a new dovetail cut in front of the rear sight.

Lots of good stuff I need to digest. It seems that there may be enough meat in the slide to rout it for a plate, but I need to read those threads more. Since I'm not a gunsmith, I would need to provide guidance to the 'smith I engage to do the work.
