Is this load ok to use in the 340PD? I ask as mine will be here tomorrow and I've got a few boxes handy. Being it's a 125gr 357 load and a "mid range" magnum load at that, would it be OK to fire these in this gun? Has anyone used these in their 340PD with any ILL effects like damage to the titanium cylinder? Should I stick to 135gr. SB gold dots instead?

If you can stand it, the gun should.
There is a prohibition against using ammunition with bullet weight less than 120 grains (7.8 g) due to the risk of frame erosion from powder that is still burning after too rapid exit of the light projectile. Another warning in the owners manual is recoil may pull the cases of unfired rounds in the cylinder rearward with enough force to unseat the bullets, causing the cylinder to jam.

I have two 340PDs.

As I've posted here before, I've shot nearly every commercial premium brand of .357 Magnum JHP through them, a minimum of 20 rounds of each, as well as all premium commercial .38 Special+P JHP loads.

It's "OK" to do so, in the sense that it's safe. (It isn't pleasant with the .357 loads, but it's safe; the gun won't blow up.)

What yields the best combination of accuracy and precision is another story.

IME, no single .357 Magnum load produced as much precision or accuracy as the better .38 Special+P loads in these guns, with the Speer Gold Dot .38 Special+P JHP giving best-overall results, in my guns, in my hands.

(I'm not "recoil-sensitive", and I'm convinced that these little lightweight guns are actually more precise and more accurate with the better .38 Special+P loads than with any of the .357 loads.)

There's no way to determine what gives the best results in your gun, in your hands, but by trial-and-error shooting, but IIRC the Remington Golden Sabre .357 JHP load was acceptable, yet not as good as the Speer Gold Dot .38 Special+P JHP.

Best of luck.

They should be okay in that they meet the minimum requirements for the Ti cylinder.

Please post your experience with this ammo, and how well the bullet is retained by the case.

Personally, I haven’t had many .357 Magnums NOT jump the crimp. So far, I’ve found only Winchester SilverTips reliably stay put.

Haven't seen Golden Saber rounds here in quite some time. Last ones I saw were $36 for 25 rounds, which I thought was ridicules. Would love to have some more as I only have 10 rounds left.
