Rest in peace, Betty White...

From a picture history in The Guardian:
"As a girl, she wanted to be a forest ranger, but as women weren't allowed to do the job, she decided to become an actor."
She was also a passionate animal lover.

And this, which made me do a double take. Johnny Carson & White doing a skecth about Tarzan in 1981

Someone on the internet made a good point

She missed making it to 100 years old by 18 days

However

She also lived through 24 leap years

So we should really give it to her.

RIP Betty, you were, no, are wonderful!

It was a sad end to the year. A number of talented, gifted individuals passed away before the ball dropped: Betty, Sam Jones, the Celtic champion, our Nevada Senator Harry Reid... I'll let Rusty fill in the others, his memory is better than mine.

When asked "Is there anything in Hollywood you haven't done that you wanted to?" She replied " Robert Redford"

Also, while she may have favored gun controls:
Betty White began working as an actress and model in the late 1930s, her aspirations were put on hold during the Second World War. A month before her 20th birthday in 1941, she went to work with the American Women's Voluntary Services (AWVS).

For that I respect her. She EARNED her right too speak, unlike the vast majority of antis
