Sometimes getting a revolver secured so you can use a milling machine on it is kind of hard. I wanted to drill out a stuck barrel pin and thought this up. Worked great. Very secure as long as you never did any heavy milling but then you don't do that on a frame anyway always small light work. Made a smaller set to fit an I frame and was able to trim the barrel and crown it, then mill a slot for a new front sight on a project 32 easily.

used 3/8" plate 3/8 NC bolts and some thin brass. I might make a longer outside piece someday for when I want to have the frame up and down. It would give me more options on how I put it in the vise. With this one the but must point back to clear vise base pivot and lock down

This is a 5 screw HP frame that someone coated the cylinder, hammer and trigger on. It now has a 45 Colt barrel and semi target hammer and trigger. My next step is reaming a 44 mag cylinder to 45 Colt, so I have another pinned and recessed 5 screw 45 Colt.

NEAT! Gonna write myself a file card and put it in the reference file. Now what happened to the parallel blocks I made to hold the frame vertical?

I have a set of 3-1/8" thick brass insets for my machine vise. When I want to hold it with the top strap up I take out the 2 lower side plate screws, place a brass plate on each side of vice the 3rd piece has a cut for where the spot the yoke pivot sticks out and a spot to fit the frame lug for all the frame sizes.

Only thing I ever do on top is mill for adjustable sights
