This may be the wrong place to put this but it is where all the discussion of Roper's goes on. I have found a Hi-Standard on Gunbroker: Auction # 86300204. It appears that it might wear Roper's. Were Roper's made for auto's also? By the way if anyone wishes to bid on this fire away as I have just bought one of these old Hi- Standards and can't afford another right now.

I've seen pics of Roper's on Hi-Standards, so I do know they were available.

I looked at the auction and can't tell for sure if the ones pictured are wood or plastic.

I know the Franzite company made a plastic target version that looked identical. Their grips have a "silver" Franzite medallion on both grip sides.

The material on these grips looks like high grade black walnut to me. Checkering pattern looked similar to Roper's but I don't make any claims one way or the other. I knew there was a lot of Roper experts in the this forum.

Plastic. Guaranteed. I have several pair just like them.
Yep, the plastic copies made by Franzite.
