Ruger customer service-understaffed or in need of adult supervision?

What box, what papers and a downloaded version of what manual?

It should also explain which end the bullet comes out.
I mean, like, you know, really- one needs to know that! ;) :D

You sure do...because, you know, if you get it backwards, you probably won't make that mistake again! ;)

'Gentlemen'- I was more interested in what cartridge(s) were approved by Ruger.

We knew that the LCR 9mm was not approved for +p use but wrongfully presumed that the re introduced sp101 9mm would be, after all the platform is based on time honored Chinese manufacturing techniques and the series is frequently described as being 'built like a tank' and 'overbuilt'.

But when the CORRECT manual arrived I was much surprised to read that my pre scratched sp101 9mm suffered from the same inherent design weaknesses as the LCR 9mm in that the massive pressure difference between SAAMI 9mm Luger and SAAMI 9mm +p Luger ammo-roughly 10%-was a deal breaker.

However this undeniable Rugerism aka the 'Pine Tree Factor' is NOT a deal breaker for us and we will continue to carry only Ruger wheel guns for our civilian self defense needs because we accept the following:

The threat in the average civilian self defense encounter is, in the vast majority of instances, ended by the mere presentation of a handgun.

In those instances when the above in not applicable the most likely scenario will involve a distance of about arms length-will require less than two rounds fired and the incident will last less approximately three seconds.

Toss in the following-the wheel gun is alleged to be more intimidating than a semi when viewed from the business end: the revolver just might be more jury friendly than a master blaster and the wheel gun is by far the easiest to learn with/master and maintain-and it should become obvious to all that the revolver is all any CIVILIAN will ever need-by a factor of at least twice.

Would I have liked for the +p acceptance to be there, certainly but even at standard 9mm loadings in our snubs we still have near .357 energy without .357 liability and that is the deal maker.

Silly me, forgot to mention the massive price advantage that the 9mm has over any other commonly accepted revolver cartridge: mo practice = way mo better.

Then again, a few here might argue this also.
