Russian handgun training.

I gotta hand it to the Russians on this one.
I found this video to be rather motivating.
While many will see this as dangerous (it is), this actually could be considered excellent training.

This is in keeping with over a century of Russian military doctrine & weapon design. Namely that the soldiers are expendable.

If you fail to pass this course you really fail right?

This would keep you thinking.

It looks like one of those things that works til it doesn't.

Nope, not for me either. I can only take so much of Larry V. also.... yeah baby! That's what I'm talkin about!!

Actually these guys are not. Not your typical infantry man. Tons of money poured in to train them and those drills are for the seasoned professional operators. Training only goes so far. At some point it has to be as real as possible. Looks like a good way to get your target in a busy Chechen bazaar full of noise, gun shots and people, some of whom are armed but not hostile.

There's another training the VDV (like Rangers) does that builds on teammate trust. Two men face each other and a fighting knife is placed in the middle. The knife is held in the air by the 2 men who use their stomach to hold it. The pointy end is against one man's stomach and the grip against the other. They must run sideways down a field holding that knife just like that, not dropping it nor stabbing. Once at the other end the knife gets flipped and the run back

that doesn't look anything like the CCW class I took last weekend....you better know how good the other guy is before you do this training for sure...Think I will pass

I like how the moke shoots one into the ground (at 3:46).
That's some safe gun-handling, right there.

Look closely. Those are warning shots. He does it every time he yells get back. I saw 2 at least and always as he yells get back

Well okay. That's even more stupid.
Warning shots use up rounds you might need later.

In Soviet Russia... target shoots you.

That shot to the ground was repeated in both of the latter drills - same angle, same timing. I'm wagering it's purposeful, not an accident.

Looks like Glocks they're shooting. No, I wouldn't like to go through that training either.

Saw this on Texas Gun Talk a couple days ago. Leave it to the Ruskies to do crazy **** like that

No more efficient way to train getting shot at..... I think it looks fun, and wish my sorry skills were up to shooting with them!!!
