Sorry for being disengaged as I have been occupied shopping for urns on Amazon. Don't want to wait until the last minute don'tcha know. Money is tight so I have it narrowed down to a refurbished spitoon and a Bisquick box.
Go with the Bisquick box. It kind of matches your clothing choices....

I have a M1 Carbine ammo can set aside for that. An old Name Tag and a set of chevrons will finish it off for me.

That's not so unusual. A few years ago I went to the Celebration of Life for a long time friend. It was held at the cemetery. I went into the room where the Celebration of Life was being held, and I saw a big black metal box sitting on a pedestal with an Air Force ball cap either beside or on the black metal box. During the course of the Celebration I learned that the box was the container for .50 BMG shells. It took a little while but it finally came to me that "Holy Smokes! [The dearly departed's] ashes are in that .50 machine gun cartridge box!"
